Blue Demon Challenge 2025

Today is Blue Demon Challenge, DePaul University's day of giving, when alumni, faculty and staff, students, families and friends come together to support the people, programs, and spaces that make DePaul so special.

A gift to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is a special opportunity to honor your DePaul education and support current and future hardworking, dedicated students in their studies and as they prepare for the future. During Blue Demon Challenge, your gift to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences can go even further:

• LAS Dean’s Advisory Board Challenge: When 300 people make a gift to any fund in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LAS), a group of donors from the LAS Dean's Advisory Board will give $58,000!
• LAS Scholarship Challenge:  When 85 people make a gift to any scholarship fund in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LAS), Dr. Thomas J. Schmidt (CSH '79) will donate $4,100!
• American Studies Challenge: When 15 people make a gift to the Richard M. deCordova Memorial Endowment in The American Studies Program, Susan deCordova will donate $3,000!
• Catholic Studies Challenge: When 15 people make a git to Catholic Studies, Catherine A. Pesch will donate $20,000!
• History Challenge: When 35 people make a gift to the Fund for History, an anonymous donor will give $2,500
• Latin American and Latino Studies External Advisory Board Scholarship Challenge: When 40 people make a gift to The Latin American and Latino Studies External Advisory Board Scholarship, Trustee Lucino Sotelo (BUS '93) will donate $20,000!
  
• LGBTQ+ Studies Challenge: When 15 people make a gift to the LGBTQ+ Studies Program, Susan deCordova will donate $1,500 for scholarships!
  
• Political Science Challenge: When 25 people make a gift to either the Cathy May Scholarship or the Cathy May Experiential Learning Fund, Scott Hibbard will give $30,000!
• School of Public Service Challenge: When 15 people make a gift to the School of Public Service, an anonymous donor will give $1,000!
  
• The Art School Challenge: When 15 people make a gift to The Art School, an anonymous donor will donate $10,000 to support The Virtual Monument and Memorial Design Competition.
• Women's and Gender Studies Challenge: When 15 people make a gift to the Women’s and Gender Studies Department, Susan deCordova will donate $1,500 for scholarships!
• Women's Center Challenge: When 15 people make a gift to the Women's Center, Christina A. Kallenborn will donate $1,000
