Today is the Blue Demon Challenge, DePaul University's day of giving when alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff come together to give back—and this year, our Challenge is bigger than ever! Your gift of any size can help us get one step closer to reaching our biggest goal yet: raising $3,000,000 in a single day!
Your gift to the School of Music is an investment in the lives of student-musicians at DePaul and helps build a sense of community for all of DePaul University. This year, Ray Daly (CSH MS ’65) is encouraging you to join him in supporting the School of Music. Inspired by his great passion for music—which he fondly shared with his first wife, Harriet Peska Daly (SOM ’58, LAS MED ’67)—Ray has committed $25,000 to create a scholarship in Harriet’s name. Harriet was a student at the School of Music in the 1950s, but sadly, her own musical pursuits were cut short by her untimely passing in 1979. With the creation of the Harriet Peska Daly Endowed Scholarship in Music, Ray is establishing a legacy for Harriet’s memory at the School, while simultaneously helping future generations of students achieve their own musical dreams.
Will you help Ray provide support for our music students? He is challenging alumni and friends to make 60 gifts to the School of Music today, and every gift will help make a DePaul education a reality for deserving students.
In addition to Ray's generous challenge, when alumni and friends direct 20 gifts to the Fund for Music, a donor who wishes to remain anonymous will give $25,000 to support School of Music students. The Fund for Music helps the school meet the needs of music students, especially during these tumultuous times.
