Blue Demon Challenge

Today is the Blue Demon Challenge, DePaul University's day of giving, when alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff come together to support the people, programs, and spaces that make DePaul so special.

A gift to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is a special opportunity to honor your DePaul education and support current and future hardworking, dedicated students in their studies and as they prepare for the future. During the Blue Demon Challenge, your gift to the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences can go even further in the following ways:

• College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Challenge: Support LAS with your gift today! We need 225 people to make a gift to any fund in the college to unlock $60,000 from members of the LAS advisory board!
• Dept.of History Challenge: Make a gift to the Fund for History and help unlock $5,000 from Warren and Jennifer Schultz!
• Chaddick Institute Challenge: The Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development has been a resource for community leaders, transportation and land use professionals, and students for over 30 years. Support their efforts with your gift today and help unlock $1,500 from Susan S. Aaron (LAS MS '11)!
• Center for Latino Research/Dept. of Latin American and Latino Studies: When 40 people make a gift to the Center for Latino Research (CLR), the Department of Latin American and Latino Studies (LALS), or the CLR/LALS External Advisory Board Scholarship, members of the CLR/LALS External Advisory Board will give $25,000 for scholarships!
• Political Science Challenges:Support the department of political science with your gift to one of these areas –
  1. Help unlock $20,000 from an anonymous donor with a gift to the Cathy May Scholarship or the Cathy May Experiential Learning Fund!
  2. Double the impact of your gift to the Sean O’Shea Memorial Endowed Scholarship. Mike Merola and John McAllister will match all gifts to this scholarship, dollar for dollar, up to $2,500!
• When 50 people make a gift to the Fund for Big Shoulders Books, Irene (LAS CER '97) and Bill Beck will give $20,000!
