Be part of the 2023 Blue Demon Challenge: give now!
The Blue Demon Challenge (BDC) is DePaul University's annual day of giving, when alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends come together to give back—and this year we're raising our sights again! Your gift of any size during the BDC can help us get closer to reaching our goal of raising $7,000,000 in a single day!
The College of Communication provides students with a combination of timeless principles and up-to-the-minute tools, whether they're pursuing journalism; public relations and advertising; professional communication; health communication; media studies; radio, television and film; sports communication; relational, group, and organizational communication; or culture and communication. During the Blue Demon Challenge, your gift to the College of Communication can go even further:
- COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE: When we receive 75 gifts to any fund in the College of Communication, the Dean’s Advisory Council will give $20,000!
- THE DePAULIA CHALLENGE: When we receive 25 gifts to the Fund for the DePaulia, Marianne Parrillo will give $50,000 to the William Carsley Triple Demon Endowed Scholarship, supporting a student reporter or editor at the DePaulia!
- COMMUNICATION SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE: When we receive 25 gifts to any scholarship fund in the College of Communication, an anonymous donor will give $10,000 to the Journalism Student Award!
- JEANNIE MORRIS SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE: When we receive 15 gifts to the Jeannie Morris Endowed Memorial Scholarship, Stephen Marts, a dear friend of Jeannie’s, will give $10,000 to this fund, created by the Morris family to memorialize legendary sports journalist Jeannie Morris.
- DEAN’S INNOVATION FUND CHALLENGE: When we receive 10 gifts to the Dean’s Innovation Fund, Susan M. Fleming will give $10,000!
We also have challenges for faculty/staff, student, and parent giving—check out the Challenges page to see all the ways your giving can impact DePaul today!
