Alumna (and DePaul superfan) Joni Phillips (CSH '82), member of the DePaul Athletics Hall of Fame, has been so inspired by today's response that she's challenging the athletics community again. If 200 additional donors direct their gift to Athletics, Joni will give an additional $100,000 to the department.
Today, the athletics community has completed FIVE donor challenges:
- Athletics: $50,000 unlocked from Pat (EDU '66) and Melissa Savage
- BONUS 2nd Challenge for Athletics: $50,000 unlocked from Ernie (BUS '57) and Mimi Wish
- Men's Golf: $30,000 unlocked from Jim McCarthy, father of DePaul golfer Joseph McCarthy
- BONUS 2nd Challenge for Men's Golf: $10,000 unlocked from Chris Barber (BUS '97)
- Caldow-Schaeflein Endowed Scholarship: $10,000 unlocked from Kurt Roderich (BUS '84, MST' 85) in honor of the 1986 Women's Cross Country team's upcoming induction into the DePaul Athletic Hall of Fame
