The Blue Demon Challenge is DePaul University's day of giving, when alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff come together to give back—and this year, our Challenge is bigger than ever! DePaul's College of Computing and Digital Media (CDM) has evolved in the past two decades into an interdisciplinary college with a broad range of innovative programs. The college is organized into three schools: the School of Computing (SoC), the School of Cinematic Arts (SCA), and the School of Design (SoD).
During the Blue Demon Challenge, your gift to CDM can go even further. If 100 individuals direct their gift to any area of the college, an alumna who wishes to remain anonymous will give an additional $50,000 to CDM.

Together, we made this the biggest Blue Demon Challenge in DePaul history. We blew past our goal and raised over $2,000,000! This is what our community accomplished:
- We created a new endowed scholarship by making gifts from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
- We unlocked $150,000 during three “power hours.” During the Brrright and Early Power Hour from 8 – 9 a.m., DePaul received a gift every 20 seconds.
- We unlocked challenges for all 10 schools and colleges. We unlocked over 10 challenges for DePaul Athletics.
- We made #BlueDemonChallenge trend on Twitter in Illinois.
Most importantly, we supported the people, places and causes at DePaul that matter most. While the Blue Demon Challenge may only be 24 hours, the impact will be felt for years to come.
